As part of a handset introduction for the second half of 2006, Motorola has unveiled the RAZR MAXX V6. Based on the now iconic RAZR, the RAZR MAXX is a HSDPA 3G handset. Cingular is currently ramping up its HSDPA network, so the MAXX might come stateside.

How can Cingular carry this phone? It doesn't have GSM 850.
There is talk of a US version of either the MAXX or XX. So it's pure speculation, but odds are Moto would want a high-end 3G phone here. So maybe.
I hope t-mobile carries this one... they use the 900MHz band I believe. They could finally have a cool phone. All they have now is crap.

this is sickkk i have the v3x its basically the same thing but the v3x has focuz soo :/ idk but i want a new pone but the buttons are sleek its is nice i wanted the e1120 but its cancelled this is nice i might get the k800 or this now im not sure ill just wait till it comes out :)

this phone has to be cigular becuase it uses HSDPA 3g wirless technology and cigular is the only wirless carrier out of verizon,cingular,t-mobile,and alltel that provides HSDPA wireless.
PS to the guy who signed anonymous Cingular is a quad band network.
T-mobile needs to get this phone. I have a Sidekick 3 right now cause it was the coolest phone they had when I got my phone.
Will this possibly support Cingular's PTT (Push to Talk)service? They only have a few phones rolled out so far, and seeing that motorola is basically the only manufacturer for Nextel's PTT service, I would hope that they can provide a phone for Cingular with this feature. I'm hoping they do not have contracts with Nextel to "not" provide phones with PTT to competitors.

Cingular won't carry it until it supports 850, and T-Mobile doesn't support 900 MHz (that only over seas) They are 1900. But it will work on both carriers.. Cingular states the 850 gives you better in building reception.
FYI, I have a cu500 from LG. I'm getting anywhere from 450 to 550 Kbps w/ about 100 ms latency. Not too bad for cellular networks. HSDPA rocks
What is with the non-standard connector on the side?
Why don't they leave the connectors alone so that all razr phones will dock in one car dock?

The maxx looks identical to the V3X, I have two and they have flash but its not that usefull at all. I hope the flash improves on this one. All Motorola phones will have its normal themes and it will take creators just days to make new themes. the Maxx will not have the glossy finish. Hope this helps

You know I used to only look at Nokia mobile phones...I got the n71 when it first came out then lost it after a month..but when I opened my eyes on other phones...the razr maxx is DAAMMMMAAAAAATTT SOOOOOO SWEEEETTTT!!!!!! I can't wait to have it in my hand!!!!!!!!!
Looking at the pics on this page .... does anyone see where the speaker is on this thing to play music? Or does it even have a speakerphone for that matter? What a shame it would be to make such a loaded phone and then not include a speakerphone?
