Sprint Nextel has announced a deal to carry the full audio of every Major League Baseball game. The deal is non-exclusive (unlike Sprint's pact with the NFL and NASCAR). Both Verizon Wireless and Mobile ESPN offer some MLB themed content, but not live audio.
Gameday Audio will be available soon through the MLB.com WAP site and Sprint's Vision store. It costs $5.99 per month and is compatible with sixteen of Sprint's handsets. Some games are available in Spanish.
Is this why they don't seem as obsessed as Verizon Wireless to have exclusivity over every new phone?
Sprint continues to deliver content. I have been a sprint user for years and love their constant innovation.
