Samsung A870 launched by Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless has launched the Samsung A870, an mid-level clamshell. Disappointingly, the handset doesn't feature EV-DO which puts it on the low-end side of Verizon's mid-tier.

Features of the Samsung A870 include:

• Bluetooth (including DUN support, but not OBEX)
• Speakerphone
• Voice dialing
• VGA camera

Verizon Wireless is selling the A870 for $49.99 after a 2-year service activation ($99 with a 1-year). It's available now.
