LG has introduced the Shine, its second launch of the Black Label series of iconic handset platforms. The LG Shine is meant to succeed the popular Chocolate line of handsets. Like the Chocolate, Shine should be available in multiple configurations for worldwide distribution.

The Shine will begin shipping in Korea soon followed by a global release in early 2007. In related Chocolate news, it's expected that Verizon Wireless will soon expand its lineup to include a clamshell model called the VX8600.
