Prada has announced it teamed up to create a fashion phone with LG. While it's not entirely uncommon for a high-end fashion brand to hook up with a mobile phone manufacturer, Prada noted that the two companies worked to develop a new model from the ground up. It's more typical for a fashion label to re-brand an already existing phone.
No images of the phone have leaked out yet, but the press release did give one design detail:
The result is a unique, sophisticated and elegant phone, with an advanced touch interface which eliminates the conventional keypad.
The Prada phone is slated to debut early in 2007. Europe will get it first, followed by Asian markets.
