Megapixel Camera Phones As Promised

We broke the story last week, and as promised details about megapixel camera phones from DoCoMo came out today. Within the next 3 months, the company will launch 3 handsets with at least 1 megapixel in resolution. Since the resolution will be high enough to make basic prints, they are expected to challenge entry level digital camera sales. Sony Ericsson will be making the highest end phone, with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. There is no word on the Mitsubishi model yet. The price tag seems reachable--around 30,000 yen or $250 US.
