Text Messaging And SARS

A week ago we noted that Sunday Communications in Hong Kong started up a service to alert its customers about possible SARS cases in the area. Today, Xeni Jardin over at Wired takes a look at the impact of text messaging on SARS. It cites the Sunday Communications service as well as several other cases--including Chinese government sent SMS messages that attempted to debunk rumors that Hong Kong was going to be shut down.
