According to RCR Wireless News, Sprint PCS is in the final stages of bringing native SMS to its customers. This falls inline with other reports we have heard. The carrier has long been criticized for its WAP-based text messaging service. The company has been busy making moves before local number portability kicks in. On Monday of this week, Sprint PCS launched nationwide push-to-talk service. Just days before the big PTT announcement, the company announced a plan with extended free night time calling.
