Rumor: Cingular looking to buyout major carrier

Cingular Wireless is
reportedly looking to aquire a major GSM competitor in the US. The other nationwide GSM wireless carriers are AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile USA. Either one of these would be
huge deals.
The deal is supposed to go down next year, and would vault Cingular Wireless to the #1 carrier in America (over current champ Verizon Wireless).
