Verizon Wireless announces nationwide 3G network

Verzion Wireless has announced plans to create a nationwide 3G EV-DO network in the US. The service which has been available for some time in Washington D.C. and San Diego will be expanded to other major US cities by this summer. The network will continue to expand throughout the year and through 2005. With Verizon's BroadbandAccess EV-DO high-speed data service, customers can surf the web at 300-500 kilobits per second. Unlimited use costs $79.99 a month.
