Panasonic X500 announced

During a fleet of announcements at CommunicAsia 2004 in Singapore, Panasonic announced the X500. It's the first Panasonic phone to feature a sliding cover mechanism. Here are some of the features:

• Built-in antenna with an overall thin design
• 65k color TFT display
• VGA camera with 4x digital zoom
• Ability to record and playback motion JPEG clips

The Panasonic X500 should be available in Q3 of this year.
