More Sidekick trouble, this time an outage

Mar 08 2005 - 12:12 AM ET | Danger, T-Mobile
Despite all of the publicity Paris Hilton's Sidekick contents got over the past few weeks, insiders say that sales increased (any press is good press). Now the Sidekick is back in the news, but this time for a service outage. Many Sidekick users have been unable to use data features since Monday morning, while others are reporting business as usual. It appears the outage is due to errors in Danger's system, not in T-Mobile's. The T-Mobile Sidekick is a branded version of the Danger Hiptop. A Danger employee posted a note on the forum at Hiptop.com, a Danger owned Sidekick community. MobileTracker confirmed with a T-Mobile spokesperson early Tuesday morning that there are still some remaining problems on Danger's end, but but that about 90% of customers should have normal service.
