When the sidekick 3 comes out can I give my sidekick 2 to tmobile and pay the difference?

This is true the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, I work for T-Mobile and we have saw the images of the sidekick 3 and this is infact it. The Sidekick itself actually is bigger that the previous sidekick but alot more has been put into this. a megapixel camera video also it has alot of different things to it like removable battery. But Danger is really thinking about releasing 2 versions of the Sidekick 3 one for girls and one for boys previously like Juicy Couture and Mister cartoon but these are not guaranteed this time. The sidekick 3 hasn't got a actual release date but t-mobile uk are thinking about realeasing the sidekick on march 8th but will be in the hands of the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton by the end of feb. This new version of the Sidekick is fab and everyone will be giving up the Sidekick 2's for the 3rd one.. Also T-Mobile are thinking about putting MSN messenger into it aswell but you will have your usual Yahoo and AIM ..

I also work at tmobile. And that is it. We have gotten pictures and details. It will have a removable SD slot, mp3 player, megapixel video, EDGE, and Wi-Fi. ! IT is Tight. There is no exact date for the relase. Paris Hilton and Lindesy Lohan should get it by Sept. 2006, while everyone else like us, should get it by december 2006, around christmas. ! IT looks Ausume, and i cant wait to get my hands on it!

I spoke to some chick from tmobile sidekick department & i told her that I'm thinking of getting a mda and leaving my sk community.. She told me the sk3 is better than the mda.. Lol.. Emily doesn't know what she talking about, if she knew anything about sidekicks she'd know that the ORIGINAL sidekick was made by Danger! The whole thing software and Design. Thats way it was crap! The sidekick II is manufactured by SHARP, but the software was done by Danger! thats why the design is better and the functions actually work well.
As for SK III, who knows when it'll come out. I'm hoping its soon cause this MDV crap T-Mobile trying to push isn't gonna cut it at ALL!!!

I don't understand where some of you are getting your "MIS-Information" from. I just checked the T-Mobile site & they are still selling the gray SK2. Some people were saying it had been removed from their site so maybe the 3rd will be released soon - well you can scratch that theory. Nice try though. I figure with as computer & technology savvy you all are that would be a simple thing to get correct.

i went to tmobile today and thesales rep said it is coming out next month and said it will have bluetooth, a video camera, and a bunch of other stuff. he said they waited because t mobile wanted to make money off of the limited edition juicy and cartoon sidekicks. so next month it will come out and if you already have a sidekick you can upgrade it(unless it's prepaid).

coming out because on their website there are hidden video say that danger is around the corner. Now why would they put videos on the page if there no device coming out. I believe the sidekick 3 is coming out and there will be three of them. the first will be the orginal sk3 and the other 2 will be limited edition version containing either extra feature or different color. Its funny read a lot of these and people just like to yap, they dont know the truth or the facts about the SK3. Honestly, I have a SK2 and I have been waiting for the 3 to come out for a while. As I walked by a Tmobile kiosk in the mall the sales guy asked if I wanted a phone, I told him I was all ready Tmobile and had a sidekick. He then asked how long I have had my phone I told him and he said thats great so you will be able to upgrade in June. I said yes I could upgrade now but I dont like the MDA. He told me in JUNE or JULY the SK3 will come out but as of yet, they had no pricing or no features that he knew of.

I don't believe any of you work for T-Mobile and if you do I would like to know where you're getting your info from then? I don't work in sales from T-Mobile I actually work on the inside. Sales doesn't know shit about anything even though they pretend they do. T-Mobile has an inside look even featuring a page that says UPCOMING HANDSETS AND DEVICES. This usually only looks up a few months but so far no info. has been posted about a Sidekick 3. There also hasn't even been any information that there will be a Sidekick 3. At the 2006 Kick Off meeting T-Mobile employees were informed of 2 more all in one data devices that will be release by Christmas (besides the MDA and SDA.) While there is much speculation that one of these devices will be a Sidekick 3 I can almost quarantee it will not be coming for atlest the 4th quarter if one is released at all. Also Sharp does manufacture the phone itself but Danger is the company which makes the software for the Sidekick's and Danger would be the company to contact T-Mobile to announce a release. Also the chances of the Sidekick 3 having iTunes is very unlikely. Lets just say T-Mobile's viewpoint on iTunes is not so good and you shouldn't count on seeing many (if any at all) phones with this on it.

The SKIII is not being released until July or August. I do not work for T-Mobile, I do not work for Danger or anyone of the like. A friend of mine owns a T-Mobile store and this information came from his mouth this afternoon while getting my SKII repaired. Hope this helps clarify for those who are genuinely interested!

Oh, one more thing, he believes the cost will be approximately $400 when this is released. Of course the price will drop after that.

no one knows much about the sk3 but it definitly didnt have windows media player. Also, hip-top isnt a company, the company is called Danger and they arent the "founders". They create the software and the sidekick's use their proxy servers to send data information. Danger why the sidekick isnt the same as the MDA, the sidekick has a completely seperate proxy server, the blackberry is the same.

Uh.. I just went and bought the MDA. I like it, more features than the SKXXXX and honestly I dont see the hype of waiting around for something as much as the SK3. If you buy the MDA(Like I did) and you see the SK3 is better(whenever it comes out) then sell yer old shit on ebay and buy an SK3! Everyone and their mom knows someone who works at T-mobile. And, this will only be a mock up of the prototype, not an actual public model... The Sidekick I think is much better than the MDA. Why would you pay 29.99 for the net on the MDA which doesn't include text when you could just pay 20 bucks for the sidekick and get unlim messages? The MDA would only be good for like corp businesses to tell you the truth. I can quarantee the phone isnt coming out within the next two months. We already have posted three upcoming phones one of which is a BlackBerry and their release dates are for like May. So I am sure they would have had the Sidekick 3 posted if it were coming out. I would suggest selling your current one on ebay and then upgrading to a new one and by extending your contract you can get a discounted price. Hey people I have a sidekick(posting with it right now) and I didn't even want it. My mom works for t-mobile so she get 40% of every thing and 2000 min for $20. Any way I wanted the MDA because it is better than a SKII, now I love my SKII but the MDA is so much better! SKII doesn't even have WM5.0 -cry- now that I have said that because my mom works for t-mobile I'll ask her to dig up some info on the SKIII . But if u still can't decide on a SKII or MDA go with the MDA I got to use it for an hour. It is so awsome!!! Any way I would still never give up my SKII for any thing else -other than SKIII-

Anyway so i went to the y-mobile dude to get a sidekick II and the guy told me that they were sold out and that they wouldn't get anymore cause Sharp stopped making them cause the SK3 was on it's way. Now as far it gose i don't think that they would just stop making their best selling phone for a whole 4 months so my thoughts are that they're going to realse this thing in the upcomming month. maybe i'm being a little too hopefull but if you guys have any insight please let me know. thanks

Another example of how the sales department thinks that they know everything. The Sidekick his been removed only because T-Mobile was running short on supply. Once the warehouse has enough in stock it will begin selling again. The same thing happened to the MDA but I think it is back in circulation again. I heard a dealer say the Razor was taken away because we were getting a Sidekick Razor. This is pure rumor and the Razor was only removed because a defect on several Razors which Motorola sent to companies. They were removed from more than just T-mobile's sales channel. Once again, I can assure you there won't be a sidekick within the next three months.

I think you are the dumbest person I have met in a long time youngladyfresh. Cingular cannot have the Sidekick. The Sidekick is a branded name of T-Mobile and they have a specific contract with Danger and Sharp to only have the Sidekick available to them. If the pictures on here are for Cingular then why would it say '3' on it? Considering Cingular didn't have two Sidekick's before it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out it cannot belong to Cingular. I'm not saying these pictures are from T-Mobile because I don't believe this is what the Sidekick 3 will look like but if you think it is Cingulars it is no wonder you don't have the credit to have a postpaid account with T-Mobile. Also T-Mobile is the only carrier with a street by street coverage map available for free online at www.t-mobile.com If you think you have horrible service then you can look up the address. If it shows you are supposed to have good service then you obviously have a phone problem which can be resolved by replacing the device through the warranty. If you don't have service in your area then you are really dumb for buying a phone without asking the coverage first. Assuming that your phone carrier is available everywhere seems to be the biggest mistake of wireless customers today.

You cannot trade your previos Sidekick in for a newer Sidekick. Neither can you trade it in for a credit. The only thing you will be able to do is sell your own Sidekick on a website like ebay and then buy a new Sidekick 3. That is if and when a Sidekick 3 is released. (Which quaranteed will not be before the fourth quarter.)

Next he laugh and starting pausing in his speech. He said, word to word. I have seen the prototype for the sidekick 3 and if the rumors are true, danger will launch the phone the first day of summer. June 1. Then I ask should I wait or get a sidekick 2, he told me to wait. I think it's true the sidekick3 is coming out in june cuz in this weeks people magazine there's a picture of paris hilton and her greek boyfriend starvos whatever his name is and she had on these cargo pants and in the side pocket on her left leg was something that looks similar to the sidekick at the top of the page. It's a distrubution map for sidekick realeases from this year to 07. Very informative. According to map sk3 won't be realeased til october. So the june release might as well be thrown out the window cuz the map looks pretty authentic.

T-mobile has a five year distrubution deal with danger. Wasn't sidekick 1 realeased in 02? Deals almost up. And if verizon can get the razr, it's very possible cingular could get the sidekick. But it wouldn't be called a sidekick they would have to make up there own name. I got this off a deafbase article I will post the url when I get it I was at a friends house when I read it.

All T-Mobile pages are formatted the same way and have very similar locations of information to ensure acurate processing and relay of information. The "map" has none of the same features that would appear on T-Mobiles internal Streamline or any other of the T-Mobile internal web pages. This is obviously made by an individual and not T-Mobile. I have a feeling T-Mobile would have a little more detailed released schedule than having some big pictures covering a few days.

Okay so look at what i found out!!I just came back from the movie Inside Man and at the begging of the movie you see this lady talking on what seems to be a SK2 but if you take a closer look it's actually a SK3!!!! so could this be some kind of hint that the SK3 is on it's way soon? I don't know but i'm still pissed that i can't even get a SK2 cause they aren't making it anymore :( everyday i'm more conviced that the SK3 is coming out next month, then again i might just be a really hopefull fan. I work for T-mobile and we got the word. The SK3 will come out in the next month. It's true it's finally here. ALso, production has begun about 2 weeks ago. Can't wait. The SK3 will cost some dough. The rumor is the great camera, more memory and the bluetooth. Word is that it might come with a free wireless bluetooth headset.
