Number portability comes to Canada
Wireless carriers in Canada have
agreed to let consumers keep their mobile number when switching carriers. The Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association said that while the agreement has been made, a start date has not been set. Number portability has been in effect in the US
since November 2003.
