Symbian Q1 2005 numbers

Fresh off the announcement of
Windows Mobile 5.0, Symbian is touting strong Q1 numbers.
* Phone shipments totalled 6.75M versus 2.40M a year ago (180% growth)
* Cumulative shipments of Symbian OS phones since Symbian's formation reached 32m phones.
* Number of commercially available third party applications for Symbian OS phones reached 3,804, up from 1,962 a year ago.
Symbian is especially proud of its 3G penetration, of the 48 Symbian phone models shipping, 25% are for 3G networks.
