Sony Ericsson rumors: Zoe / Ellen handsets

SE-NSE.com, an unofficial Sony Ericsson forum, has posted drawings of two new handsets purported to be in development by Sony Ericsson. Going by the codenames Zoe and Ellen, the two handsets are designed to sell for less than most current Sony Ericsson handsets. This fits in line with what we noted last week about the company's upcoming handset strategy.

Zoe

• Clamshell
• Main screen is 128 x 160 pixels with 65K colors
• Possible EDGE high-speed data
• Exchangeable covers and keypad backlight colors.
• VGA Camera

Ellen

• Slider in the style of the S700i
• 262K color screen with 176 x 220 pixels
• 32MB internal memory
• Possible EDGE high-speed data
• Bluetooth
• 1.3 megapixel camera

There's no word on when either phone will be ready to ship, but there is price information: $200 for the Zoe and $300-350 for the Ellen. According to the forum, these handsets should be announced on June 13th.
