3GSM 2006 -- Broadcom is showing off a new chip that combines Bluetooth and FM radio. The company hopes that it will help make FM radio a standard feature for mobile phones that have Bluetooth. Having the two functionalities combined saves power, size and money.

The Broadcom BCM2048 requires only 1/3 the board space of existing solutions. It supports Bluetooth 2.0 and will support the 2.1 spec.
