You’re right about the name, but the company is gonna be what Dell was, and maybe still is, to the computer industry. Most of the deadwood and bureaucracy will be going to Sprint Nextel and the new company, EMBARQ, will be able to shape a new future without all the out moded baggage of the telecommunications industry.

The managers being put in place in the New Local Company understand the telecommunications industry of today and tomorrow and are not ingrained with the dated practices and processes of the past 80 years.

Our customers, their needs and demands will truly be our primary focus. Speed, competence, and concern will be our hallmarks. The speed of response, the competence of our workforce, and the concern for our customers will insure that our work will be done right the first time, we will strive to give the customer, whether they are residential or commercial users, what they need not what we can talk them into buying, and we will insure that our products, services, and business process are the best in the business.

As an employee of this new venture I can tell you it is an exciting time and we all are eagerly anticipating the official rollout of a new, fresh approach for the telecommunications industry. We are committed to leadership in this industry and becoming our rivals toughest competition.
