CBS today introduced two mobile video alert services that its calling CBS News to Go and E.T. to Go. Around five alerts will be sent out daily and right now the same alerts will be sent to everyone, but CBS plans to launch a feature to let users customize their interests. Pricing for the news service is $.99 a month while E.T to Go runs $3.95 per month. Both figures exclude carrier related fees.

Phones not capable of displaying the videos will instead receive a text-only version of the update.

According to the NY Times, this is just one of several mobile features CBS is planning. Another is a mobile soap opera that will debut in three to five minute episodes.
