May 04 2006 - 12:31 PM ET | Cingular, Research In Motion, Rumor, T-Mobile

BlackBerry 7130cPhotos and specifications of two upcoming BlackBerry models have been posted onto the FCC's website. The Blackberry 7130c and 7130g are GSM/EDGE devices likely headed to Cingular and T-Mobile respectively. Design wise the new BlackBerry units are slimmer and more rectangle than past models.

The BlackBerry 7130 series is feature packed:

  • Quad-band GSM plus EDGE
  • SureType keyboard
  • 64MB flash memory and 16MB RAM
  • Mini-USB
  • Bluetooth 2.0

Research In Motion (maker of the BlackBerry) is in another patent infringement lawsuit, this time with Visto. The company settled a large infringement suit earlier this year for $600m.

Love my BB 8700! Wish it was in black w/ less shiny plastic

Also own a 7105 but really missed the edge on the 7105 thus the 8700

It is very fast for processing and web surfing

A larger flash memory w/ folder management would make this my ultimate device

Tons of programs and secur secure secure

Love it!

You liked the 8700? Wasn't a huge fan. I hope this one's an improvement. :)

The 8700 is by far the bast blackberry so far! I've had the 8700c for about 7 months and the 8700g for about a month. Best phone/device I have ever had.. and I've had them all.

:-)

"7130c and 7130g are GSM/EDGE devices likely headed to Cingular and T-Mobile respectively"

Wrong. the g stands fro GSM so that will be either cingular or tmobile or both. the c version would be for a cdma system such as verizon or sprint etc. Anyways that device looks great. I love my 8700, only wished it was thinner which the 7130 seems to be

RE: Loki's comment.

Check again.

7130g = GSM Model 7130c = Cingular model.

look at the 8700 series:

8700g = GSM Model 8700c = Cingular model.

There is already a CDMA version of this model. (7130e).
