Upcoming Cingular handsets

Jul 02 2006 - 11:26 PM ET | Cingular, Rumor

Cingular logoEngadget Mobile got a sneak peak of Cingular's upcoming handset launches and shared the details last week. Carriers don't always stick to their own schedule, but this is probably a pretty good indicator of at least which handsets are coming out (even if the dates are wrong).

July

  • Motorola V3i - This one has already been delayed, but it should finally be here this month. [more]
  • Sony Ericsson W810i - Our favorite music phone. Features a 2-megapixel camera with autofocus and a great music application. [more]
  • HP iPAQ 6920/25 - Should be here any day now, complete with WiFi, Bluetooth and EDGE. [more]

September

  • Motorola KRZR (AKA Canary) - We've seen spy shots of the Canary for a while, but this is the first we've heard of an official name (CRAZER?). [more]
  • HTC StarTrek [more]

October

  • Palm Treo Nitro and Treo Lennon - Departure from the conventional Treo design with an internal antenna among other changes. Lennon should sport UMTS, WiFi and Windows Mobile 5.0. [More]
  • HTC Hermes [more]

November

  • BlackBerry Stealth - SureType handheld with EDGE and more multimedia features (MP3 for example) than past BlackBerries [more]

The W810i is a great handset, I have a feeling it's going to be a huge seller on Cingular.
