Garmin announced an expansion to its Garmin Mobile service. Garmin Mobile 3.0 is currently available to Sprint Nextel subscribers (both iDEN and CDMA) with a compatible handset. The update brings more points of interest, such as: fuel prices, weather and live traffic reports. Traffic data is automatically calculated into routing so that it can route you around possible delays. Gas pricing information comes from recent credit card transactions which are recorded by OPIS, a petroleum pricing group.

Garmin Mobile gives turn-by-turn directions to any address in the US and Puerto Rico. With the latest update it has six million points of interest. It's priced at $9.99 per month for unlimited usage.
