Nokia Open Studio 2006 -- Nokia has updated several of its popular N-Series phones to enhance their music futures. The new models sport a jet black design and besides select new features are otherwise similar. The models are Nokia N70 Music Edition, Nokia N73 Music Edition and Nokia N91 8GB. The N91 got the biggest change with its hard drive storage space being doubled.

All of the devices feature dedicated music keys and updated Nokia music player software. Nokia Music Manager is also included in box for easily getting music onto handsets. The new N70 and N73 should ship next month while the N91 8GB is expected before the end of the year.

Also new is the launch of Nokia Music Recommenders, an international collection of music enthusiasts who list their top picks in specific genre. David Bowie is the biggest name recommender, most are employees at influential indie record stores. This service starts up in November.
