Nokia Open Studio 2006 -- Nokia has announced the N75, the latest of its N-Series of "multimedia computers". The introduction was made at an event this in New York City with several hundred attending press from around the world. The N75 is only the second straight clamshell N-Series handset and is the first N-Series handset directly targeted at the US market.
Features of the Nokia N75 include:
Nokia expects to begin shipping the N75 in the US starting in the 4th quarter. Because of the 3G features, Cingular is the likely carrier target. Pricing was not announced.
If it is priced right from Cingular it might catch on. Nokia has nothing going on in the US, maybe this will be a jumpstart. Anyone know pricing info (direct from Nokia, not subsidized)?
The candy bar Nokia N73 is a more slender in width and thickness, but a little taller and better specced for many people.
Jim, they are almost the same thickness--the N75 is just 1.2mm thicker. 3mm wider and 15mm shorter. Volume wise the N75 is smaller than the N73.
US consumers have shown time and time again that they like flip phones, so the N75 has a huge boost in that department. Add in the US based 3G frequencies and it's a lot more appealing if you live Stateside.
But the big difference is the N75 will be easily available here and the N73 won't be. In Europe it's the other way around. Different markets.
Can someone tell me how much it costs? Is it better than an N-70. Does it have VIDEO PHONE facility ? Thanks.
hi, I am from India and would like to know that is this fabulous, N75, only going to be launched in US or also in Europe and Asia (including India)??? because i am currently using the sony ericsson k750i and am tired of it and wanna switch back to Nokia as soon as possible. I hope i will get my answer soon, since i am on a lookout for a desent nokia handset from a long time now. any proper information will be really appreatiated. thanks

it would have been soo much better if nokia would have given a 3.2 megapixel cam instead of the almost outdated 2 megapixel. but nokia people dont get like to play perfect i guess. and also what's with this "targeted at the US market" shit anyways? i mean why not the rest of the world also. if its not for the rest of the world.. than i think nokia sucks badly. and i would rather put this "US bound" phone between my ass cheeks and fart badly! and mind you i am a very attractive woman...so i guess the nokia guys wont mind sucking that phone after i remove it from my ass cheeks!!! hahaha

Ok people. Its confirmed that the Nokia N75 is going to be released in US with a 2 megapixel cam and for the rest of the world with 3.2 megapixel cam and 30 fps video recording. The Europe and Asia bound phone will be high on specs and features compared to the US version. But it will be released first in US followed by Europe and Asia. I am working in Nokia for the past 8 years and i myself have tested the N75 US model as well as the Europe model. Europe model will be N75i
Wallah.. I love Nokia! But i wish it would also have GPS. Because when i am riding on my horse and could not find the right way.. It would help. Besides that i also wish it would have TLF and GOJW too.
i know sir nokia n75 is very good and attrective model. it is also with grestes style and for own personality but i only say that this is very big means big models i wants only small or flate model and can u tell me about its price and more information which is not in ur website. i hope u give me positive responce.

My first impression after using the N75 for a bit this morning: thin! It's not RAZR thin (or Samsung Trace thin), but it's Nokia thin. The most sleek N-Series by far, though that's not saying a whole lot. It's definitely pocketable.
Really looking forward to the US release of the N75, hello Cingular.
