Just got this phone. LOVE IT!!!! It is lightweight, the battery lasts VERY long, features are awesome...BUT IT NOW!!!

I just order this phone.. I have been reviewing it since a friend of mine has one too, and I think is awesome.. Great Reception and Very Light Weight with a Battery that last long between charges..

The only issue I have with it is that it does not have an universal plug-in for the ear piece, everything else for what it comes with is a phone that I highly recommend to anyone, I might just get me a second one for my girlfriend. PS.. Don't tell my wife.. :o)

The only way I figured out to asssign a different ringtone to a person is to set up a group for that person(s) and then assign the ringtone to that group.

I have had this phone for about a month and a half. And to answer a few questions I see on this post. Assign a different ring tone to a person is to set up a group for that person(s) and then assign the ring tone to that group.
Nokia se this so to allow the user to set the same ring tone for many numbers without having to add a ring tone to each one. Also full price for this phone is $190 if bought from cingular stores.

I have had this phone for a month...LOVE IT!!! I've been sending pictures back and forth to my husbend, my mom, my grandma, as well as e-mailing the pictures to my self so I can print them out! Great quality. I can also send pictures from my computer to my phone for wallpaper(love that Kenny Chesney)Also the ringtones are the actuall songs and they sound great. my Husbend has ACDC and I have the new song by Black Eyed Peas, My Humps! I highly recomend this phone to everyone who wants a fun and "up with times" phone.

I just got this phone for xmas its great, but as everthing it does seem to have its cons.My only problems with the phones is that the vibrating alert is not very strong so sometimes I cannot feel it, the camera doesn't seem to have many features like zoom and flash but it does take great quality pics, also when you set up a pic to a contact for call ID it doesn't seem to show it full screen, when they call you only a little piece of the external screen shows the pic and you cant really see it until you open the flip. Other than that is a good phone!!!!
Oh yeah I want to change the faceplate too how do you do that?

Hey! I was reading some of the posts on here about this phone and maybe I can help a little. I have had this phone for about four months now and I love it! I do suggest that you keep some kind of carrier/cover on it or yours will end up like mine since my brother stepped on it! This phone has great reception, the camera could probably be better but hey it is a cameraphone so what can you expect. The radio feature has to have a special set of headphones with an antenna on it or you can just buy the antenna without the headphone feature and listen to it through the speaker. Oh, and to answer someone else's queston, yes you can use a voice recording as a ringtone. Hope this helps! And again this is an awesome phone!! woohoo!

Nokia 6102 FLIMSY phone! I had this phone for 3 days, and in that time, the screen froze, the key pad froze and the flip part felt like it was going to break in half. I returned this phone before it even had a chance to run out of batteries.

i just got the phone one for me and my husband ,we love them.There very cool and it looks really nice.Also they are built though in the way the are hard to break.(Good for people who drop there phones)

hey i just got the nokia 6102 and i really love it. i have never had a camera phone so it is really new to me. setting the right tones for people is easy all you have to fo is put them in a group and assign a ring tone to that group.

This is a good phone, ive been very happy with it. But one main problem i had with it is how easly the screen can break. I had 2 of these phones, and the screen broke on both of them. The first one, i opened it, closed it, put it in my pocket, and later when i looked at it again the screen was broken. this was with about 2 months of use on it. I returned it, and got another one, and the same problem hapened with it again, in the same place. i had a crack through the middle of the screen, on both phones. I never dropped it, and never miss handled it. I didnt thinking closing it could crack a screen like it did.

other than that, its a good phone .'] enjoy

We have 3 of this phone model ~ WE really like the phone , I have had them about 6 weeks and have learned a lot from this web page alone , the FM radio is great for walkers , it is digital , but, not all the stations come in clear ~ Photo quality is so so , but, I have n ot used it a lot ~ I got the groups figured out for the different rings for people ( a good way to HEAR if you want to answer {LOL}) ~ also the hands free adapter that is included is more like an MP3 plaer the way they WRAP around the ears instead of just poking in them like the ear buds do ~ more in tact to the ear and you can hear on the radio and the phone call thru BOTH ears ~

My third 6102 just broke!!! The first one was broken when I received it in December...the screens would fade in and out. The second one did the same thing after 6 weeks. Now the mini screen has broken on the third one. The phones have not been dropped or abused. Three defective phones in 6 months - this phone needs some serious re-engineering!

i've had this phone for about 3 months now. it's ok but there are a few flaws that really bug me. first, there is a significant lag time when scrolling through the menus or contacts. it's really annoying when i'm in a rush and i'm trying to find someone's contact information. second, the memory doesn't hold much. after a while i had to transfer all of my pictures and videos to my computer because my phone had no more free memory. and third, the ring tones suck! not a very good selection to choose from and i hate the idea of paying for one. overall, it's a decent phone but nothing to rave about. it's definitely a trusty nokia but they really dropped the ball with the overall design and engineering. i don't think i'd actually recommend it to anyone...there's definitely better ones out there.

The outside mini- screen cracked on our daughter's phone only after two three months of use. The phone was not dropped or abused in anyway.

Replacing it with carrier (Cingular) cost $50 on top of a monthly insurance fee.

I just got this phone about 2 weeks ago. Its been great but i accidently got water on it. I took the battery out and everything is working fine except the camera because there is still water on the lens and mini screen. I was just wondering if anyone could give be instructions on how to take the front cover off so it could dry. Thanks

This phone is pretty good. It's light, the battery lasts a long time and the reception is fantastic. I recommend it - or as Tien would say, 'id get this if you can have it now'.

This phone is great....the only thing i don't know how to do on this phone is change the faceplate...so if anybody knows how to do this,please tell me....O,and i got my phone for $10.00 woth a 2 year contract!!!!!!!!!

yeah, ive had this phone for a lil over 6 months now, its on prepay and its one of the best phones i had, if you search in google itll tell you how to install faceplates and pull of the front cover..its some complicated stuff if you dont have the right tool (the tool is called a t-6 tool and its a prying tool and it has the torx wrench needed..you can get them on eBay) if you have a crappy reception after a while, get one of the antenna boosters they work. Yep, this phone is pretty decent for the price, the downsides are the bulky antenna, the lack of a universal earpiece port, and no bluetooth (unless you get the 6102i) but overall, its an 8 out of 10

I would personally not recommend this phone to anyone. Keep looking for something better. I've had the 6102 for a year now and have had so many problems... especially with Cingular. I'm now on my third of this model because it keeps on falling apart. Yes, there is a lag when scrolling. No, you can't assign personal contact ring-tones. There isn't nearly enough memory space for pictures and such. The top piece that covers the antenna can pop off and, if lost, is quite difficult to replace and can lead to more problems if not replaced right away. The speaker isn't loud enough at all either. These are only the problems I can think of off the top of my head.

I just received (2) 6102i phones, direct from Cingular. Neither one will charge. Both have the BL-C4 batteries and the AC-3U chargers. Not operator error. Anyone experience this?

Disregard my Oct 08 2006 post. Both phones are ok. The person in the store said the charge indicator does not show on the mini screen, (as the book says). So it was operator error. (hard to admit!!)

Don't buy this phone!! I bought this phone and i have had it for less than a year and the wires are exposed in the top left hand corner. Cingular shipped me the replacement phone and with in 2 weeks the wires were already showing in the exact same place. it has been kept in a cover and taken care of. it is very cheaply made.
