Sony Ericsson K610i announced

3GSM 2006 -- Leading the pack for handset announcements at 3GSM, Sony Ericsson announced the K610i and J100. The K610i is an update to the K600i that was announced last year at the same event. The candybar styled 3G handset has been brought up to spec with other recent Sony Ericsson handsets.

Features of the K610i include:

• GSM 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100
• 17mm thick, 92 grams, one of the smallest 3G phones
• 176 x 220 pixel 262K color display
• 2-megapixel camera for photos plus VGA cam for video calls
• Bluetooth
• Memory Stick Micro card slot (M2)

The Sony Ericsson K610i will begin shipping in the second quarter. It will sell in both Europe and Asia.
