Verizon Wireless upgrades LG V for music

Jun 09 2006 - 01:53 PM ET | LG Mobile Phone, Verizon Wireless

LG V Music VerizonVerizon Wireless has launched an upgraded version of the LG V (AKA VX9800) that has been infused with V CAST Music. The company made a similar move recently with the launch of Motorola's RAZR V3m. The LG V V Cast Music is the same phone feature wise with the addition of Verizon's over-the-air music download service and support for VZ Navigator. Interestingly enough, Verizon's spec page for the new V still lists an MP3 player. Previous V CAST Music handsets have had MP3 playback removed in favor of the Windows Media based player that powers V CAST.

  • QWERTY keyboard
  • EV-DO high-speed data
  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • Bluetooth
  • miniSD card slot

Read our review of the V (from back when it was called the VX9800), a video demo is included. The LG V currently lists for $149.99 after a 2-year service agreement.
