Motorola launches robotic sales centers

Motorola has announced an interesting rollout of robotic enhanced vending machines to sell Motorola products without human intervention. This is the first time a mobile device manufacturer has utilized vending machines in the US. The robotic stores are fully automated and are made by Zoom Systems. These storefronts are most commonly found in airports (though they pop up in malls too), with some even getting press for selling iPods.

Motorola's machines will be branded as INSTANTMOTO and should be located in approximately 20 locations in the US by this November. Available products include RAZR handsets (just choose your color), Bluetooth headsets, chargers and more. Because of the higher unit price than typical vending machines, Zoom Systems allows customers to pay with a credit or debit card.
