Dude go to buy.com and sign a 2 year contract with cingular and get this phone for free AR. You can even port your old cell number onto the cingular, now who does not want that?

this phone runs about 510$ with out contract but it is the pimpist thing ever with 256mb u can fit like 80 songs on it if u rip down the kps on the mp3s you can get like 200 or more

this is the best phone that i have ever had! the speakers work so good, better than i thought that they would! the only problem that i have is that the keys lock button is on the side of the phone so when its in my purse, it gets unlocked and starts to click around, but other than that its a very good phone!

i bought this phone like a week after its release and its been a month since i had it. i have to say its a very impressive phone that in my opinion, beats the Moto. ROKR, but its father the w800i i believe is a bit more advanced for its ability to expand memory with the Sony memory stick. other than that i can say im pleased with my phone.

i don't have one but i want to know the price to buy one.

I got the Sony Ericsson W600i Sunday and I LOVE it!!! It is so awsome!!! there are so many things I can do on it like listen to the radio, dowload music, watch TV clips, and so much more!!

I LOVE IT.............IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT.IT'S SUITABLE FOR ME AS A KID..

I am very happy with how user-friendly this phone has been so far during the week that I've had it.
I was hesitant @ first because whenever I asked people about it, they'd say that it is very difficult to figure out and the navigation is extremely inticate. Apparantly, even the tech geeks were returning this phone out of frustration.

LOL, I say NONSENSE. YOu want user-friendly, you get this phone.
- radio, walkman access is a simple 1-button push on the external part of the phone. You don't even have to slide it open first.

- The external 1-button link feature is also incorporated for other uses. Such as, the camera and games. No silly searching around menu's to get to where you need to go.

- It has one of those headsets that are split in two, so that you can make any set of earphones handsfree (brilliant, I can't stand those pathetic little "in-your-ear-like-a-Q-tip" ones.)

- MP3 file transfer is USB 2.0, so it transfers files just like a proper mp3 player should. I know someone with the Moto ROKR E1......iTunes.......What an absolute joke. LOL

- In addition to the fast transfer rate, you can use your mp3's as ringtunes. (loving that feature. I just wish I had discovered the option before I went out and dl'd a bunch of them from rogers)

- The Camera settings are fantastic. It has zoom, small medium & large for picture size. It does frames, sepia, blk/wht/, reverse colours, and Burst as a few of the options.

- The graphics throughout the entire phone are amazing aswell as the games. Fluent, no glitching or blotchyness. However, the video playback is quite poor. I d/l'd a video and it was pixelating like crazy, there were moments where you could'nt even make out what the current scene was. On the plus side of vide/gaming, the "landscape" option to play games with is fantastic. You can play games whilst holding the phone sideways, and the w600i has 2 designated gaming buttons to the right of the screen (which would be the top of the phone when holding it upright) just so this option is even more compatible.

I'm being very brief here as I'm not the best as describing this stuff. IF you have more questions, I'll be glad to answer them.

as for negatives. The walkman equalizer and the memory.......
After being overwhelmed by my significant others ROKR built-in 3D surround sound speakers (if you haven't heard them, they pound. Seriously!!!) I was left a little dissapointed with the w600i's performance in that department. I thought that with the option of an equalizer, and a selection that's titled "Mega-Bass", I would get pounding sound that somewhat resembles the ROKR. NOT. The bass selection is irrelevant when using the actual phones loud speakers because you can not tell the difference whatsoever. W/a headset you can though and the sound quality is good.

Overall, it's a brilliant phone but pricey and I'm a bit suprised that they chose to eliminate the option of expandable memory which was available on the w800i. Because when you consider the fact that the integrated phone's purpose is to eliminate the amount of things that one has to carry, 256 mb's is a bit small.

Does anyone know if it's at all possible to tamper with a cel phone internally to expand the memory?

omgoodness!! ii adore this phone. It is really cool. I bought it a couple days ago and I can't get over it. All my friends went crazie wen they saw it. It's the coolest thing ever. Two thumbs up! :)
