Sony Ericsson W600i launched by Cingular

Cingular Wireless today launched the Sony Ericsson W600i for general consumers. This is the first Walkman branded handset to gain a carrier deal in the US and is also the first real competition to the Motorola ROKR (read our review).

Features of the Sony Ericsson W600i include:

  • GSM 850/900/1800/1900 plus EDGE
  • 256MB memory
  • Walkman music player software and stereo headphones
  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • Bluetooth
  • USB sync

Cingular is selling the W600i for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and 2-year service contract. It's available immediately.
