this is a great phone am getting ready to buy one for myself

I noted the following differences between this model and it's predecessor-the t809.
1. Lack of volume- I could not hear on this phone when driving, even with the volume set to max, I could not hear it and there seemed to be more road noise being picked up. The t-809 is much louder and easier to hear on both the speakerphone and overall. Perhaps with the headset or Blutooth Headsets it may not be an issue.
3. The keys are easier to manipulate than the other version since they are larger.
4. The screen is slighty smalller than the t809.
5. The battery lasts a bit longer too. Old was 3 hrs and new one is around 4 avg talk time.
6. The new mod is a smaller package as well and does not fit into the case that the other one had. Can't access the keys when in the case. I could access the keypad fine on older model.
Overall I like the colors and the interface much better than the older one but wish there was more volume.

I just got the phone today. It looks like it will take a little time to get used to all of its functions, but I believe it will be a great phone. The volume is a little weak even at max level.

I just bought this phone and the volume is terrible. Even at the maximum you can hardly hear anything

Just got this phone and my main gripes is that it doesn't have a standard USB slot the keys seem a bit flimsy and the most annoying thing thus far is that while the phone is being charged the LCD screen will not shut off. I've search for an option to shut it off as I don't need a nightlight but even a screen saver would be nice. Doesn't matter if the phone is off or on the LCD screen wont shut off so long as the charger is not plugged in. Also didn't come with it's own memory card.

I finally kicked the razr habbit, I bought a d807.its been a little hard to adjust after having a zillion moto phones,but over all I think this is a great phone. the screen and graphics are fantastic compared to even the v3i. The few faults I find are.I keep pushing the wrong buttons, its easy to do, and I have small hands.also I agree about the volume, its really really low.I hope they have a hack for it soon. it needs to go to 7 5 does not cut it for me.

Well i was thinking of buying this phone and i heard from a friend that the software was horrible. I guess theres some small details in the software that are screwed up…anyone who has this phone could you tell me how the software really is instead of talking about the exterior of the phone. thx

My husband and I both got this model. The phone has a lot of good features compare to our old phones but one disadvantage that I found is the VOLUME. The volume is absolutely terrible. I could hardly hear even when I adjust it to max. Same goes to my husband's phone. We used to have two Sanyo phones and the speaker and ear pieces were A LOT BETTER compare to this one. The phone looks cool and great but the volume and speaker is poor.

i was just about to buy this phone but now im wondering, since everybody is whinning about the volume i dont think i should be getting it anymore, right now im using a motorola phone, and the speaker is great but the problem is its way to big, and when im at school the teacher can see it in my pocket, and i need a loud volume phone cuz when im in school it gets pretty noisy, right now im trying to decide from the D807 and the D606, dont know anything about samsung never tried from samsung except tv and the only phones ive ever used is the motorola, sony and nokia, by the way, motorola has the worst, i mean worst menu and graphics, and its all the same, on every motorola phone, nokia has awsome signal but getting sick of the same design, and sony is kick @$$ but way over my budget.

Dont get me wrong the looks and the feel is great, but sometimes we need more than just looks. Like already mentioned the volume is terrible, MAX volume cant be called Maximum cause its still really low. A USB port would have been great. Could have been alot better espically considering its price tag.

look i don't know why everone is whinning cuz this phone is great the problem is about volume go to some cellphone store tell him to change the chip of volume for 15 to 20 bucks and u got good volume

man this is an awesome phone.
but i just can't get the data kit to recognize my phone when i connect it to my computer. but i can just buy one of those thumb drive bluetooth device and be ok.
i would recommend it especially when u have a 1 gig mem. card for your data.

ii just gott this phone yesterday and im having problems with it already. idk if its b cuz i have to charge it for like a hole day but wen someone trys calling me my phone just shuts off and turns back on again. and wen i go into settings , and sound settings for incoming calls and i scroll down to volume it shuts off again. idk if my phone is just stupid or if i should wait and charge it for a while and then see wat happens . please help me with this if anyone has had or still has the same problem.

i agree with one of the people..the fact that the lcd screen doesnt turn off no matter what is kinda dissapointing.....no volume issues here tho....

hi i just gat this phon but i got 1 question....can i put an mp3 as ringtone?they told me that only the mp3 from cingular website works...please answer if u know something luigy4all@yahoo.com thank u

i got it.u can only put short mp3`s as ringtone.if u have the whole song u can`t use it as a ringtone.
