Samsung i830 a go for Verizon Wireless

Dec 28 2005 - 01:13 PM ET | Rumor, Samsung, Verizon Wireless

Another day and another rumor, this time for the Samsung i830 on Verizon Wireless as soon as next month. We first mentioned the i830 back in March when the FCC gave its approval nod. The i830 is an update to the i730 which was launched by Verizon Wireless back in June.

Features of the i830 include:

  • Dual mode CDMA/GSM (GSM would be used for world-roaming)
  • Slide out QWERTY keyboard
  • Bluetooth
  • Windows Mobile 2003

Look for the i830 from Verizon's business channels around the 10th of January and in stores everywhere on January 24th. Pricing is rumored to be high, but it could change--$700 with a 2-year contract.
